Good post. I think the beauty of micro sites to companies is really finding people to connect with - Facebook makes that hard. Sure, you can integrate, but I think it gets annoying to see the same information on every site. It makes me only want to connect with you on one. Use each site the way it is already naturally used, with content targeted at those uses. Let the user decide where they want to connect with you. I agree that everything should be integrated for a better experience, but integration does not equal automation.
