As someone who struggles with #6, I appreciated your insight. I think that sometimes PR pros can get overwhelmed with all of the new SM strategies and see them as something we “have” to do instead of tools that can help us work smarter instead of harder.

I think the funniest part of #3 is that I say that ALL THE TIME. But in pitching it really doesn't matter and requires a fundamental shift in thinking.

Point #3 is well taken! I would rather have mass coverage in the niche that is important vs. having a story lost on a mass crowd. BTW – great tags on this post as well
