I'm actually not a big deal at all. But a couple of weeks ago, Arik Hansen opened up the first Annual PR Readers Choice Awards for blogs.

After the initial nomination round, I’m pumped to report that The Lost Jacket is in the running for the Best Up-and-Coming PR Blog.

If you want to vote for me (or don't) make your way to the awards voting page or click the badge beside this post. Voting closes at midnight on Wednesday June 3 2009.

Love the Anchorman reference. Baxter, is that you? Bark three time is you're in Milwaukee!

Good luck in the voting, Stuart. Regardless of the outcome, your blog--along with the other nominees--is now one of my "must reads."

@arikhanson

Hell yeah I'll support you. I should get in on more stuff like this myself.

Also, just as a thought, I gotta wonder how much of a popularity contest this is, as with most contests of this sort, you know? Not that it's a bad thing, popularity represents your reach & if people stick their neck out for you then that says something. But, for example, I was tempted to vote for Danny Brown's blog right away just because of name recognition.

Kind of like voting ;)

You and Ron Burgundy have the same hairstyle. For that fact alone I'll vote for you.

I went ahead and voted for all the other blogs.

OK, can't lie. Voted for you but purely because of the Ron Burgundy quote and pic.

Aw, geez. If I had known it was a momentous # comment, I would have had something more toothsome to say. (I can only plead for people to look at some of my other comments -- I usually give "good comment" (value-added, so to speak.)

Figures that would be the 500th comment :)

and humble too ;-)
